what is the different between karaf.bat and servicemix.bat

in servicemix/bin folder, i see there are 2 files: servicemix.bat and
karaf.bat. What is the different between them? when should i use
servicemix.bat? and when should i use karaf.bat.

L.S.,

There's no difference between those two files. We provide a
bin\servicemix.bat because that's what we had in earlier versions as well.
We keep the bin\karaf.bat file around as well, because some of the
internals of Karaf (e.g. admin:create'd instances) refer to that file by
default. It shouldn't make any difference whether you use one or the other.
