[jira] [Commented] (QPID-6548) SYSV init scripts do not work properly wiht SSL-only broker.

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-6548?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14551040#comment-14551040 ]

Alan Conway commented on QPID-6548:
-----------------------------------

The problem is the qpidd --daemon process creates a PID file that includes the port number. With SSL-only and no explicit port the pid file is .5671, but the tools are looking for .5672.

> Install in default /usr and /etc locations, configure for SSL only. Try to use the SYSV service scripts. Servivce start starts the broker but reports and error, service status and stop commands don't work at all.
