[users@httpd] Cannot download files from Apache2.2 webserver.
Hello,
I have installed Apache2.2 under the cygwin environment with winXP.
I have configured authorization Basic and am using the directory
auto-indexing
feature(no index.html file in the Documentroot directory).
Then when i try to download files from home everything is ok , with
Firefox1.5 and IE.
When i try to download the files from the office with Firefox1.5 under
FedoraCore5 the download begins with "Starting..." and continues like
that
for ever. No data is transferred. The only difference in terms of
network connectivity is that in the office the connection to the
internet is through a
http-proxy.
I thought it could be security issues due to the http-proxy (through which
the whole traffic is going through) ,so i configured ssl_v3 with
auth Digest on
the apache server, but everything is as before, no change!
I have tried with auth Basic, but the result is the same.
From the logs i get no evident problems even on level debug.
Something suspicious is probably this:
"(104)Connection reset by peer: core_output_filter: writing data to
the network"
and this:
"Digest: user arry: nonce expired (367.00 seconds old - max lifetime
300.00) - sending new nonce"
I have searched the forums and the net but could not find anything useful.
My only hope is with you guys.

Aloha,
Thanks for replaying my email... well yah i dont really know whether
what writen on the error_log message relevant to my problem. I've
read from web article, that if the error log contain so much "write
data to network" might cause the httpd server freezing / hang, and the
symtomps can be weekly or even in 20 mins or something.
well i got a httpd server... it have a symptoms looks like that..
first the error_log got a lot of error because file not found, it
seems that google caching my web page, and its (totaly) diffrent from
current structure. And i tought it wont become a problem.
And then i change the LogLevel, and i found a lot of
"core_output_filter" "broken pipe" and other, its a lot a mount of it.
And i begin to seek whats is all about, and one of the article said
that it can cause the freeze. So I begin googling and join this milis.
:)
When the server freezing, when i check the status.. it will apper like
: "httpd dead but pid file exists"... and it should be restart before
it start to run again... or i've be DDos ?
So can anyone help me with this problem ?

Hi,
It seems that i can't download files from my apache at all !
What am i missing ?
What directives have to be enabled to allow that feature?
I tried with EnableSendfile off and EnableMMAP off , but no luck, again.
