Can a commiter tweak project.xml to use werkz 1.0 beta 8?

I would appreciate it if somebody can upgrade the maven pom to use werkz 
1.0beta8, which looks like it is now up on ibiblio. I want to use the 
new goal support to remove some duplicate goal processing I am getting...

I will when I'm done my set of changes. It can't be used yet.
