There are duplicate entries of sniff_interface in the sample inventory file: https://github.com/apache/incubator-metron/blob/master/metron-deployment/inventory/metron_example/group_vars/all. 

Remove the duplicates as you run into issues with them when you do the metron install on an existing Ambari managed cluster based on these instructions: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/METRON/Metron+Installation+on+a+Ambari+Managed+Cluster
