svn in practice
is there a book or resource out there, that someone might recommend
that discusses various appoaches to using the constructs subversion
provides to effectively manage a project?
it seems like every place i go, everyone has their own theories about
best practices..
i certainly feel like ive got a moderate grasp on the basic concepts;
branching & tagging. but there are more complicated things that come
into play in a large environment. local environments for developers;
and a hierarchy of stages of the product where code gets promoted from
one to the next as it has passed testing and so forth.
im sure this sounds like misguided rambling, but i would expect there
to be some sort of defacto standard; you know; the book about 'how to
version your products in a real, large environment'. not just the
mechanics of the system itself.
thanks,
-nathan

search://subversion "best practices"/ turns up quite a few hits...
(as in, half a million).

My understanding is that there isn't any standard, defacto or
otherwise; each organization just figures things out for itself.
Certainly not the ideal, but then few things are.

WebDAV Autoversioning can only be turned on or off at the repository
level. It is either on, or it is off, for the entire repository.

SVNAutoversioning on specific folder
Posted by Jean-Claude Antonio <jc...@arcetis.com>.
Hello,
Is it possible to set Autoversioning on specific folders or on folders
defined by patterns?
My guess is no, but we never know.
Cheers,
Jean-Claude
