Apache i18n support

Has anybody looked into internationalizing Apache 2?
 
There are a couple of areas like:
 
            Messages
            Error pages
            Multibyte/Unicode support 
            
Anything else?
 
Is this in the roadmap for Apache?
 
What are the caveats of doing it?
