[jira] Commented: (QPID-1227) OutOfMemoryError running tests with 1.6 or 1.7 JDK

Aidan Skinner commented on QPID-1227:
-------------------------------------

What version were you testing with? This used to be a major problem because we kept all of stderr and stdout from the tests in memory, but should be much better in the last few weeks.

> Just an FYI that the test target fails using a 1.6 or 1.7 JDK, even if I bump up test.mem in default.testprofile to 1024M or remove the maxmemory attribute from the junit task in module.xml. This doesn't happen with a 1.5 JDK. Perhaps the core Java libraries changed in some unhelpful way between 1.5 and 1.6? Could be my environment, too, but I'm skeptical of that since it happens on both my Linux box and my iBook.
