FOR-572 - delaying as well?

Being related to 591, I wonder if this issue too could be delayed
until 0.9 since it's out of our hand unless someone is going to
directly reimplement the module(s)?

I agree. It is something needs to be done from time-to-time.
This issue seems to have turned into a place to collect
some info about how to do profiling. Some of it has been
added to f.a.o/howto-dev.html
