Gavin commented on INFRA-3211:
------------------------------
I have updated the OS, re-installed the missing sun-java6-jdk and restarted the VM.
Please get your demos running again and test.

> Since Ubuntu update (one/two month ago?) we experience much problems with OFBiz instances (both trunk and stable): they are often down. I had a look and found that it's not OFBiz related but due to the environment.
> We get errors like
> ________________________________________________________________________________________
> A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
> java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: requested 1073741840 bytes for Chunk::new. Out of swap space?
> Internal Error (allocation.cpp:215), pid=4901, tid=139855725569808
> Error: Chunk::new

> There are plenty of examples (hs_err_pid.....log) at the root of both OFBiz demo servers. I don't think it's a swap space issue, maybe rather a memory issue (we are often running with only less than 100MB free when both instance are on for a moment). Another 500MB would help I guess, maybe there are better solutions though. We could also reduce the OFBiz memory footprints but I think we will then get heap spaces issues (permgen should be ok).
> Also if we could avoid spiders/robots to lurk it would be great...
> Thank you in advance for your much appreciated help
