Request Parameters through to a generator

Hi,

I've been looking through the various documentation for Cocoon2
and am trying to find the mechanism to pass the request parameters
through to the generator.

The reason is that the generator we will be using is a cgi program
that takes various parameters depending on the users action. The
resulting dynamically generated xml from the generator will translated
using the standard pipeline.

Can anyone help ?
