The trunk INSTALL has been changed to mention the .zip file, but as it wasn't available when I made
the patch I left loads of stuff in there about how to unpack a .tar.gz file. I don't think my
changes have made it to the 1.1.x branch. It's r10389 on the trunk.

Actually the instruction assume a checkout from the repository.
Where can I get a zip file from? If I can get hold of one I will update the instructions.

Yeah but the new zip files includes apr-iconv... I'm presuming the
instructions should be updated to mention that...
