Hi Patrick, 
I recently set up my IntelliJ IDEA development environment for Apache Spark and I struggled with a few of the same/similar compilation errors that were described in this email thread https://www.mail-archive.com/dev@spark.apache.org/msg06070.html.

You had added a helpful paragraph to the wiki on Nov 20, 2014 but you removed it again on Jan 9, 2015. Did you find a better solution or a more pertinent place to put this information?
