Hello Erwan,

a mail was sent to you and Kristof on Friday to confirm that FTP was installed and that access for installation could occur.

Please keep me informed on the installation of SAP connectors, if FTP access is not valid I will need for you to request to open an FTP port on the FireWall.

Thank you

Franco

Thanks Mauro,

Not sure if Transiciel can reach the internal IP addresses you propose. I
will review this tomorrow with Laurent Bouyer.

I did not find a clue of Franco's confirmation that ftp servers have been
installed. But this is good news of it is done. Luc, Kristof, what about
the upload?

Hi,

Point 1
In order to connect to the servers using LoadBalancing, the connection has
to use a different message server for all instances.

DS1 =>        Message Server        62.187.136.9        service
sapmsDS1(3600/tcp)
AS1 =>        Message Server        62.187.136.5        service
sapmsAS1(3600/tcp)
TS1 =>        Message Server        62.187.136.5        service
sapmsTS1(3601/tcp)
PS1 =>        Message Server        62.187.136.12        service
sapmsPS1(3600/tcp)

Point 2
An email has been sent to you, by Mr Roma, on friday morning confirming
that the ftp was installed.

Franco,

These two topics are urgent!

1 - Since I have been away for 2 weeks, it seems that Transiciel did not
get any reply from Mauro regarding the load balancing issue mentioned
hereunder.

Could you come back to us regarding this so that Luc can go forward? (nota
: I will forward to you additional e-mails by Transiciel on the
load-balancing topic, still requiring answers from IBM)

2 - I remind you as well that none ftp server are available on the
connector servers, as I required before I left, and as a consequence,
Transiciel can't upload the connector application itself.

Thanks for a quick feedback and action. As said on my voicemail, please
contact me if you wish some details.

Dear Mauro,

Can you confirm the answers (see below) delivered by Jan-Luc ? I need these
data so I can start implementing the load balancing. If not, the
installation of the SAP connectors on staging at IBM hosting will be
useless. The installation is due next Tuesday.
Please keep in mind that if I implement the load balancing, I can't
immediately revert to 'direct connection'. So we must be sure load
balancing on your side works as described, especially for DS1 and TS1,
otherwise, we're in trouble.

Regards,

Luc

Hi Luc,

To be honest, I am not sure how the config should be done; especially in
the case of PS1, I am not sure which IP address you should use for the
messaging host, knowing that you connect through the firewall. I suspect
you should use one of the application server's address (maybe Mauro can
advise about that).

Now, since Mauro has set up load balancing on DS1, I think we should first
do a test on this system. I propose the following parameters for a first
try:
key - the name of the pool = SAP_ANTALINK_DS1
max_connections - max. number of connections allowed for the pool. = 10
client - SAP logon client = 220
user - SAP logon user = ANTALINKFR
passwd - SAP logon password = *****************
lang - SAP logon language = EN
mshost - Host name of the message server = <the same IP address you
currently use>
r3name - Name of the SAP system = DS1
group - Name of the group of application servers = DS1_rfcLoadBalancing

Regards,
Jean-Luc Lacorre

Jean-Luc,

I'd like to implement the load balancing now. Can you provide us with the
following data :

1. IP address of the messaging host. (antdbs01). Make sure we can access
them like we access TS1 or DS1.
2. r3name - Name of the SAP system = DS1/TS1/AS1 respectively, Is this
correct ?

Thanks for feedback,

Luc

HI,

I've created an RFC loadbalancing for DS1, TS1, AS1:

DS1 : DS1_rfcLoadBalancing
AS1 : AS1_rfcLoadBalancing
TS1 : TS1_rfcLoadBalancing

note for production system PS1 the load balancing is

PS1_rfcLoadBalancing

                             used

Jean-Luc,

I have found the load balancing API for JCO.
This is the current connector configuration (DS1, TS1) :

# Configuration for the SAP connector
#####################################
# TS1 connection properties
jco.client.SID=SAP_ANTALINK_TS1
jco.client.maxconnections=10
jco.client.client=800
jco.client.user=ANTALINKFR
jco.client.passwd=**********
jco.client.ashost=195.183.25.200
jco.client.lang=EN
jco.client.sysnr=01

And this is the required configuration for load balancing (PS1):
Can you correct/complete this ?
key - the name of the pool = SAP_ANTALINK_TS1
max_connections - max. number of connections allowed for the pool. = 10
client - SAP logon client = 800
user - SAP logon user = ANTALINKFR
passwd - SAP logon password = *****************
lang - SAP logon language = EN
mshost - Host name of the message server = antdbs01 (please give us the IP
address !).
r3name - Name of the SAP system = PS1
group - Name of the group of application servers = RPS1_rfcLoadBalancing

Unfortunately, these two configurations are not compatible and so we have
to
implement discriminating code for the STAGING and PRODUCTION setup.
Unless off course, the staging SAP is to be configured with load balancing
as well.
