OpenOffice 4.1.1. failure to perform

Worked very hard for the past few weeks to design & create a Presentation to
use with my gmail.com.

The pages fail to copy & paste correctly. When I do copy and then try to paste
a single page on to the gmail, only the text pastes not the whole page with
background. I am so exhausted I have sat & cried after working day & night
until 3am time after time.

I folowed directions to copy & paste for nothing. All the work I did, I cannot
even trasfer it to another program.

And to make matters worse, I couldn't explain to you even on Facebook, or by
email.

I am now trying this approach but you failing to provide adequate contact, this
probably won't go through either. Why have you created such a malfunctioning
system?

What exactly do you mean by ”use with my gmail.com”? Are you trying to send
your presentation to someone via gmail or are you trying to use it with the
Google Presentation thing in Google Drive?

There it is again… ”on to the gmail”. Exactly what do you mean? Are you
trying to send your presentation as email to someone? And if so, how to you
compose your mail? Are you using the Web interface (that is logging in to
Gmail with your Web browser) or are you using an email client of some kind?

I'm not sure what you are trying to do, but copying a and pasting contents
from a presentation into email doesn't seem to be the proper, or even easy,
way to do it.

Why would you even WANT to do it? Just tell us exactly what you are trying
to achieve, and I'm pretty sure some of the many users on this mailing list
have a few ideas how to do it easily without doing strange things like
copying and pasting images and backgrounds from one application to another…

Just try to take one step at the time and explain what you are trying to
do, why you are trying to do it, what operating system and other software
you are using and so on.

It depends. If you are subscribed to this mailing list, then you are at
least able to read this and other replies.

We didn't create anything, we are just Apache OpenOffice users helping each
other out. Like if you have a problem, write to the list and maybe people
who had similar problem will tell you about how they solved it. Some of us
are here just to help, others mostly ask questions and most of us, I guess,
do both… There are probably a few developers hanging around as well, but I
don't know for sure.

OpenOffice is not a design program, if you want to have full
consistency of the view then you should export to PDF and attach it to
the 'gmail'.

Kind regards.

Kandi,

What Operating System are you using?

Also, how are you sending gmail? Using a browser? Which one?

Please reply to users@openoffice.apache.org so other volunteers can look at the information also.

OpenOffice has a really advanced PDF engine, including index, annotations,
passwords, and PDA\A which can be editable PDF. I would recommend it far
beyond PDFCreator.
And OpenOffice has a PDF icon right next to *"Print"* on the toolbar,
really no reason to overlook it.

As for Images, I recommend using *OpenOffice* *Draw* instead. You can
export JPEG/PNG/SVG/GIF/WMV etc.

Copy and paste is a data typed procedure that depends on the operating
system. You can use print to PDF
to solve the problem and it will work with any application, not just OO.
I think OO can make PDFs but I use

      PDFCreator <http://www.pdfforge.org/pdfcreator/download>

You don't copy and paste a presntation into GMail. Email only does "rich
text" (html) not complex vector graphics like presentations.
What you should do is save your presentation, the attach the presentation
file to your e-mail.
