[jira] [Created] (SPARK-36508) Disallow Interval add/subtract String literal

Gengliang Wang created SPARK-36508:
--------------------------------------

Summary: Disallow Interval add/subtract String literal
                 Key: SPARK-36508
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-36508
             Project: Spark
          Issue Type: Sub-task
          Components: SQL
    Affects Versions: 3.2.0
            Reporter: Gengliang Wang
            Assignee: Gengliang Wang

If a binary operation, for example Addd or Subtract, contains interval type and string literal, we can't decide which interval type the string literal should be promoted as. There are many possible interval types, such as year interval, month interval, day interval, hour interval, etc.
