I can't reproduce this. The stack trace indicates the exception is thrown when
writing 8 bytes to to a buffer than is usually 8KB. I can't see any code paths
that would reduce the size of the buffer or fail to correctly recycle it should
an error occur.

A test case is required in order to progress this bug.
