   This can be closed as fixed in Maven Shade Plugin 3.4.1. That release updated to Plexus Utils 3.4.2 via #139, which includes the cross-platform SelectorUtils.matchPath() fix from codehaus-plexus/plexus-utils#192. Recursive package matching should use **.
