Proxy Server malforming URLs

           Summary: Proxy Server malforming URLs
           Product: JMeter
           Version: Nightly (Please specify date)
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Critical
          Priority: Other
         Component: HTTP
        AssignedTo: jmeter-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: thads_id@yahoo.com

I added a proxy server to my workbench and turned it on and configured my
browser to use it. Anytime a url that has a path other than the default path is
used the path gets deleted from the url. For instance, pointing my browser to:

http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&tab=iw&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=

The following url gets sent to the server:

http://www.google.com/?hl=en&tab=iw&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=
