ADLSCredentialsControllerService with user-assigned managed identity
Hi all,
We have an Azure VM setup with both system-assigned and user-assigned identities, and when we set “Use Azure Managed Identity” to true, the Controller appears to get one or the other randomly.
We would like to always get the user-assigned identity, but I don’t see a way to supply the ClientID for this purpose, only for Service Principal authentication.
Does the ADLSCredentialsControllerService support user-assigned managed identities at all?
Kind regards,
Isha Lamboo

Hi Isha,
Only system-assigned managed identity is supported currently.
Feel free to file a jira ticket for supporting ClientID / user-assigned identity too. (https://issues.apache.org/jira<https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fissues.apache.org%2Fjira&data=04%7C01%7Cisha.lamboo%40virtualsciences.nl%7C1e53c5268beb430363a308d9f869ffaf%7C21429da9e4ad45f99a6fcd126a64274b%7C0%7C0%7C637813956669010571%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=zEplvFsewpXVuEfDooPcWG1d9ZDmHLpAzSwhdjTqW%2Bg%3D&reserved=0>, project: Apache NiFi / NIFI).
