Unable to Correlation in Siebel Web-http.

Hi All-

I am trying to script a Siebel application with Jmeter version 2.3.2.
Initial script is simple login with user name/password and logout.
There were are some dynamic variables which I was able to see in the
response of the previous URL and I was able to correlate it successfully but
there are some dynamic variables of which value I was not able to see in the
response of previous URL’s response therefore unable to correlate.

What I understand is Jmeter should able to script Siebel Http application
and my application is web-http.

Have any one experienced such situation in Siebel before. Thanks for any
sort of help.

Thanks
Nitish

Hi Nitish

its difficult for me to answer it without the context and access
to the application. However if I were you, i'd get all
request/responses/resp headers
in a file and if i do not see it in response/response headers..I'll check
how these values are generated in browser..read the js code if the need
be..sometimes we need to write bean shell to copy same js functionality
like you just did..

Good suggestion Himanshu, I wrote a function in Beanshell for timestamp using
Date and it worked.
Moving forward with URL it is now give me error for
SWEACn = 17741
SWEBHWND = 328274
SWEC = 182

SWEACn is SWE Application Count and SWEC is SWE Count.

Any guess how to solve it.

Thanks

looks like its the current timestamp in unix..I did a date -d @ on the time
stamp and it showed some time on dec..

run this command on bash shell
date -d @1228552812
just removed last 3 digits...think its current time..epoch is gmt...

try getting the unix timestamp in bean shell
and use it..I do not think it'd need an exact value to millisec

It should be somewhere in URL_2, but perhaps it is generated by Javascript.

No, JMeter does not run ActiveX objects.

Yes I have added a Cookie Manager.
There are three URL
URL_1
URL_2
URL_3
In URL_3 I have to send SWETS to server but I can’t find it in URL_1 or in
URL_2 sample result for extraction.
Do Jmeter support Active X object because Siebel use it in some place.

Thanks

I've no idea what you mean by that. What is correlation in this context?

Browsers can only send information to a server based on the current
web-page (plus any stored cookies).

JMeter also has access to cookies (assuming you added a Cookie
Manager) and the current web-page (i.e. the previous sample result).

You just need to tell JMeter how to extract whatever has to be sent to
the server.

Sebb thanks for replying,

I am comfortable with Regular_Expression_Extractor.

The problem is when I record the script I am able to see the variable SWETS
with its value 1228552812837 in HTTP sampler but for correlation I am not
able to see SWETS in previous URL response.

Thanks

Hey I browsed the net and found the variable that I was not able to correlate
is timestamp of Siebel SWETS= 1228552812837 and it will change every time. I
think timestamp of Siebel is not a new feature there should be some
solution.

Thanks
