Just wanted to confirm this bug in p5-Mail-SpamAssassin-3.3.0_3 as installed
from the FreeBSD ports.

calling SA by "spamd -c -v -u vpopmail" failed - error in logs was

"warn: spamd: Timeout::_run: failed to resolve vpopmail user/alias 'simscan'
using vuserinfo/valias at /usr/local/bin/spamd line 2162, <GEN17> line 2."

In my case spamassassin is called by simscan. The simscan user is a unix user
account and is not a vpopmail alias (ie the opposite condition to what Alex
reported in that spamd is checking for a unix user in the vpopmail db.)

I applied Alex Dupre's patch by hand and this fixed the problem.
