Why do you find it odd? Sometimes bugs get reported in HttpClient JIRA
that require changes or a fix in HttpCore.

Looks good. I only made some minor tweaks.
Question: It looks a bit odd to have an HTTPCLIENT ticket
(HTTPCLIENT-2091) in the release notes for HTTPCORE.
