I'd really like to be able to search for jiras in a particular state (etc...) that have attachment. There currently is no way to do this, according to atlassian a plugin would enable this:

Would it be possible to install this plugin and configure the apache jira service to enable this field?
there are a couple other interesting fields in there - last commented and participant caught my eye as being useful.

Jira Toolkit plug-in installed.
Attachment count is now available for searches for all projects.
Note some projects also use PatchInfo to indicate that a patch is available.
