when cutting RC3, hdfs and spark modules had already been reset to use next iteration development poms \{{14.2-SNAPSHOT}} for their dependencies.
This was a mistake on my part due to the manual release steps being used to deploy 2.11 and 2.12 artifacts. I have notes that with some sed/awk magic could be turned to scripts eventually; we should try to automate this release process, or at least narrow it down to a couple of scripts in 14.2 IMO.
