[jira] [Created] (PHOENIX-1586) storeNulls should be an optional attribute in PTable.proto

Samarth Jain created PHOENIX-1586:
-------------------------------------

Summary: storeNulls should be an optional attribute in PTable.proto
                 Key: PHOENIX-1586
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PHOENIX-1586
             Project: Phoenix
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Samarth Jain
            Assignee: Gabriel Reid

[~gabriel.reid] - I noticed you added the new storeNulls attribute as required in PTable.proto. Any new attributes we add to our proto files should be optional unless we are rolling out a major release. Otherwise they end up breaking the backward compatibility between clients running older jar and servers running the newer jar. In this case the change will likely break the backward compatibility CREATE TABLE.
