Stale Link

Hi.  My name is Wayne Williams and I work for the NYS Unified Court System and we are developing our first tapestry application.  So far we like it a lot.

I have a problem that I am sure you can assist me with.  I have a page that has a direct link to another page which wants to update information in the db that appears on the previous page.  Once updated, I try to return to the previous page and get the "stale link".  I understand why I am getting it, but have tried a variety of things to alleviate it with no success.  I am sure I am doing something fundamentally wrong.

Don't hold a reference to the previous page because
the templates themselves are cached.

Instead get the new page afresh and pre-populate it
with the updated data from your db.

The Workbench has an example of how tofeed data to new
page.

To be specific look at:
Palette.advance() in Palette.java
PaletteResults.java
