in the openldap page there are no built jars
if you got it from novell page, then the license is Novell Developer License Agreement which i dont know whether it allows redistributon or not

Thank you for being mindful of licensing. In this case, the Novell download page at http://developer.novell.com/wiki/index.php/Special:Downloads/jldap/builds/unix/novell-jldap-devel-2008.03.01-1unix.tar.gz states:
"Your use of this file is subject to the Novell Developer License Agreement UNLESS DIFFERENT LICENSE TERMS ACCOMPANY THE FILE ITSELF, in which case those terms govern." (emphasis added)
Inside the tarball downloaded from that URL, you will find a file called LICENSE, which contains the "OpenLDAP Public License", a copy of which can be found at http://www.openldap.org/software/release/license.html .
The license does permit redistribution, though perhaps we should include the LICENSE file inside the two JARs deployed to the Maven repo. Your thoughts?
