Hello [~gerlowskija] 

I have started a little bit of work on converting APIs to JAS-RX on this PR [https://github.com/apache/solr/pull/1649] . I also plan on continuing with these APIs so I just wanted to mention it here.

If you have any suggestions regarding what I already uploaded please share it!
