I was able to replicate something similar to this using Writer 3.4.1 Build:9593
running on Windows 7.

Steps to view:
1. I created a 10-page document with some random lines of text so I could more
easily keep track of the cursor and what page I was looking at.
2. I placed my cursor on different pages and zoomed in/out using the +/- in the
bottom right corner until the view would change the number of columns.

When placing my cursor on a single column page and zooming out to two columns
the page number on the view would change 1-3 numbers although the cursor had
stayed in the same place. For example, cursor placed on page 6 would then
display it was on page 9 when zooming out. Then without moving anything, if I
zoomed back in the view would display page 5. Another factor in this is that
the view shifts around and does not stay with the location of the cursor.

I feel this bug is reasonably important because the current implementation
doesn't provide the best usability. In comparison, when doing the same thing in
Microsoft Word 2010 the view will always contain the location of the cursor
rather than bouncing around the document or changing the page number in the
view.
