Nigel Daley resolved INFRA-1496.
--------------------------------
Resolution: Fixed
users need to have tomcat's admin, manager, and standard roles. I've updated http://wiki.apache.org/general/Hudson to ensure new users have these roles.
> Permission error when logging in to Hudson Dashboard
> ----------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: INFRA-1496
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-1496
> Project: Infrastructure
> Issue Type: Bug
> Security Level: public(Regular issues)
> Components: Hudson
> Reporter: Sebb
>
> When trying to login to my sebb account on Hudson, I get an error.
> Goto: http://hudson.zones.apache.org/hudson/, click login
> Brings up page:
> Enter login details, press login. Brings up page:
> but there is an error message:
> HTTP Status 403 - Access to the requested resource has been denied
> type Status report
> message Access to the requested resource has been denied
> If I then go to http://hudson.zones.apache.org/hudson/ I find that I am logged in.
> Not sure if this is a generic Hudson problem, or a problem with my account - which does not appear in the people list for me.
> I also cannot seem to change my password via the configure screen - no error is reported, but the old password is still active.
