Hmm.  That's very strange.  I've definitely never seen that before.

I wonder if you are somehow pulling in the wrong version of the jackson library?  Maybe try deleting your .m2 directory inside your home directory, running git clean -fqdx, and then retrying the test.

Maybe we need to do more in our POM file to make sure the tests are using the right version of Jackson?  That's all I can think of...
