{{mesos-local}} only supports a limited set of command line arguments. But during initialization in {{src/local/local.cpp}} it loads the master and slave configurations that are set by their respective environment variables. Hence it's possible to set most master/agent configuration values only using environment variables which seems inconsistent compared to how it's done when {{mesos-master}} or {{mesos-slave}} is run.
