Is it me, or is this last sentence starting to sound like an
advertisement instead of factual claim :) I wouldn't like to have this
page start to have each company sound like an ad.

How do people get to interact with CollabNet engineers that is different
than the dev list and IRC?

Blair

Yup, thanks Mike!

If you're tempted to misread into Dan's response that CollabNet thinks of
dev@ as something we only interact with only when we feel like it, as a
hobby: don't do that.

That said, the interactions at openCollabNet are different in a few ways:

   * They involve supporting the CollabNet Subversion packages, which is
     something that dev@subversion wouldn't (and shouldn't) handle

   * They involve supporting CollabNet's custom connectors between
Subversion and other things (again, not dev@ material)

   * They involve more CollabNet employees than the ones that follow
dev@. Folks from Engineering (of all disciplines), Service,
Sales, and so on. And yes, for those folks, it is the case that
dev@ is not part of their job description, but OCN very much is.

There are some forums on the site that CollabNet engineers respond to
questions on. Unlike the mailing list, every post gets some type of
response, since the forums are part of people's day job, rather than a
hobby.
