Automatic Update of plugins

Hi all,

First of all great thanks to all developers of maven 2 (and maven 1, cause I heaviliy used maven 1 for the past two years) for making such a great tool and technology.

I do have a (simple) question regarding update of plugins. How do I (preferable automatically) update to new plugin versions. Example:

A few weeks ago the eclipse plugin changed ist release version from 2.0 to 2.1. I had to manually delete the 2.0 plugin from the repository so that maven would download the new 2.1 release. But I guess thats not the way it was meant. There must be a way to tell maven to look for a new version and if there is one, download that and use it.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Christian Domsch.
