What kind of Plugins will be useful for running & monitoring workflows

Hi,

I have replied to GSoC project

with a suggestion to develop the requested features via an Eclipse plugin.
This will not be much useful since the target users are scientists. What
are the plugins that will be useful for the above scenario. I suggest to
develop this feature as a plugins for  a web browser. (eg; Firefox)
