[jira] [Commented] (KNOX-982) Datanode JMX REST Knox service

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KNOX-982?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16090922#comment-16090922 ]

Larry McCay commented on KNOX-982:
----------------------------------

Okay - now I can see that this isn't an update to an existing service definition but I am wondering why it isn't. We already have hdfsui which is essentially namenode UI at this point. Is there some reason to not include the datanode rewrite rules and service definition in the hdfsui one?

Also the version 1.0.0 doesn't seem to align with any version of Hadoop and the hdfsui version is 2.7.0. As far as I can tell, they should be the same.

Have you tried this functionality combined with the hdfsui service def instead of a separate datanode service def?
