[jira] Commented: (MNG-4394) Configure same proxy for multiple protocols

Dmitry Katsubo commented on MNG-4394:
-------------------------------------

This is very nice feature, as indeed, two proxies are not possible in Maven. Does it make sense to have a "catch-all" proxy (i.e. should address add protocols) is {{<protocol>}} is not defined (or alternatively {{<protocol>*</protocol>}})? For example, it is common that both HTTP and HTTPS protocols are served by one proxy, so it will reduce the proxy configuration in two times.

> It seems that it's not possible to configure a proxy for more than one protocol.
> I would think that it's a very common requirement to use a proxy for both http and https.
> It would be great if this was possible.
