A good improvement to ListenSyslog would be to merge/group lines as describe in the mailing group:

Properties that could be added to the processor:
* Enable line merge (true | false)
* Line Merge Regex
* Merge strategy
** Not sure how to express this one. I would prefer to have only 1 regex rather than N regex that can match in a specific order like in the Splunk documentation  
* Maximum lines to merge
** Since the merge will probably be quite memory consuming, we need a limit
