Michael Jumper commented on GUACAMOLE-648:

It installs version 0.9.9, and not the current one (Oct 2018= 0.9.14), but this should be no problem.

It _is_ a problem in the sense that you are effectively avoiding 3 years worth of continuous improvements. There is no benefit to using a release that is so old. It would be better to follow the documentation and install the latest:

My problem is, I am "locked" in this session, and cannot logout to initiate a different session with different login.

If you only have one connection defined for your user, Guacamole will automatically connect to that user's single connection. You will need to open the Guacamole menu by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift, click on your username, and select "Logout".

See:

Does anybody know how to implement an administrator on guacamole, so that I can control the different sessions? Or just a trick how to logout from a running session?

If you questions about Guacamole, please don't open a bug report. JIRA is an issue tracker and is not meant as a help forum. The user@guacamole.apache.org mailing list should be used instead:

> I am using Debian 9. I recently installed guacamole from the depository (apt install guacamole). It installs version 0.9.9, and not the current one (Oct 2018= 0.9.14), but this should be no problem. Tomcat version is 8. I have successfully configured /etc/guacamole/user-mapping.xml, I login through Firefox on localhost:8080/guacamole/ and the connection to the desired VNC-server is established. Up to this point everything works fine. My problem is, I am "locked" in this session, and cannot logout to initiate a different session with different login. Whenever I retype "localhost:8080/guacamole/", the browser re-starts the previous login without asking. Giving the user/password as URL (e.g. [http://anotheruser:pwd@localhost:8080/guacamole/]) does not work either, I always fall back to the previous login. It seems, that the guacamole installation from the debian-depository omits the installation of a guacamole_db database, as expected from the guacamole documentation, and there is no guacadmin administrator. Does anybody know how to implement an administrator on guacamole, so that I can control the different sessions? Or just a trick how to logout from a running session?
