Matt, this is not how it works. Spring poms should have the versions used by Spring to build (see http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/springframework/spring/lib/readme.txt?rev=1.98&view=log), not the latest or the latest available.
And poms can not be changed after they are uploaded or builds are no longer reproducible.
That's why I was concerned about uploading them.
