[DISCUSS] The AsterixDB Report of the Week : Oct 2-9
Preface:
Hi folks,
As discussed, this will be the thread that replaces the previous
synchronous community meeting held at 10AM PST. The way I'd like to
run this is the following:
I will post the usual triage and global status below. I will also
update the status of the APEs that I know if in there.
Following that, each person who would like to give an update on what
they've been upto in AsterixDB can reply to this thread, similar to
how I would go around and ask everyone in the meeting what they had
been upto.
Let's see how this goes! If anyone has any questions, of course,
please feel free to reply in this thread.

What I was upto in AsterixDB this week, in a nutshell:
- Testing migration of Jenkins pre-commit checks in GHA (you can see
it here: https://github.com/parshimers/incubator-asterixdb/actions)
- A couple test fixes that came out of that (3951,3952)
- Code review for some of Hussain's Iceberg fixes, and a few simple
ones I saw Mike B propose
- Prototyping/exploring configurable partitioning for Python UDFs
