Action icons in portlet decorator

I have been away from Jetspeed2 for a while but I am working with the
2.1 dev code right now...  Is it still not possible to have your own
action icons deployed within your portlet decorator?  I package my
layout and portlet decorators as jar files always, and I remember once
upon a time (pre 2.0 release) that I had to copy the icons to the main
portal app but I was hoping that I could avoid that these days.  Any
pointers?
