RE: Xalan-J 1.2.D02 Developer's Release posted to xml.apac he.org

format-number() bug can be easily avoided when xsl:decimal-format is defined
for default decimal-format in the XSLT stylesheet. So the fastest way to fix
this bug is to set default decimal-format symbols programaticaly before
process transformation somewhere in the Stylesheet.process method.
Theoretically this way will be even faster for format-number() function
because there is no need to create DecimalSymbols each time you run this
procedure with default symbols

Thank you

When format-number() should format NaN or infinity, it
generates the wrong string if default strings are used.
Workaround: declare the strings in an xsl:decimal-format
instruction at the top of the stylesheet.
