This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage.
Findings: Column-stats data skipping in the Trino Hudi connector is implemented. The trino-hudi plugin was migrated into apache/hudi (#13493, [HUDI-9556], 2025-08-06; further upstreamed in #13787) and includes `HudiColumnStatsIndexSupport` (hudi-trino-plugin/.../query/index/HudiColumnStatsIndexSupport.java), which reads the metadata table COLUMN_STATS partition and prunes file slices via `canApply(TupleDomain)` / `shouldSkipFileSlice` / `evaluateStatisticPredicate` — i.e. column-stats-based data skipping. A `HudiPartitionStatsIndexSupport` is present as well.
If column-stats skipping still isn't working for you on a recent version, please reopen with details.
Closing as fixed.
