Apache license question

Greetings!

I am generally very clueless as regards the jungle of OSS licensing,
and I would appreciate any tips regarding the distribution of parts of
the Jakarta project (Ant, to be specific) with my project.

I am about to roll a shiny happy much improved new release of the
NeatSeeker search engine framework
(http://www.iki.fi/lempinen/neatseeker/) and I would like to
distribute the rather excellent org.apache.tools.ant.DirectoryScanner
as a part of the indexing engine.

NeatSeeker is currently licensed under the LGPL. What I would like to
know is whether I will be violating either the ASL or the LGPL by
including a copy of DirectoryScanner with the NeatSeeker classes?
(Naturally, I will have the acknowledgement required by the ASL in
appropriate places.)

If this is the case, I will probably consider altering the NeatSeeker
license to an Apache-style one. Does anyone have good pointers to
templates to Apache-style licences which do not tie so closely to the
Apache project?

Thanks,

-Sami
