Balancing group seems to stop if failed host isn't in DNS
I know there have been multiple threads about the balancing groups and their behavior, specifically around the race condition we hit with the default timeout-which is now adjustable. However, I ran into a case today where the balancing group errored out after only trying one host, which wasn’t in DNS (issue with our DNS service). Shouldn’t it try failing over to others?

Hi, Steven,
Apologies for the lack of response. I haven't tried much with the balancing
groups, but I'll try to give this a go and see what happens. My initial
thought would be that the balancing group should use any failure -
including DNS resolution issues - as a trigger to go to the next host, and
that this should not halt the connection completely. I'll try to reproduce,
myself, and see what I can come up with.
