https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125767

          Issue ID: 125767

          Hardware: All
                OS: All

The file last saved on mac, which causes a loss of images when auto-saveded on
Windows.

This is a bug we have been struggling with for weeks, on large documents,
causing the loss of dozens of figures with several versions of OO. We
originally thought is was a duplicated of 125289 or 125290 and were very happy
to see those bugs fixed in v4.1.1.
It didn't solve our problem though, and we finally managed to reproduce it
reliably on a small document and on the last version of OO. It appears to be
caused by the background save of recovery information on Windows with a file
last saved on Mac and conversely. The bug does not appear when editing the
document on the platform it was saved on.

**** To reproduce the bug on Windows 7, OO 4.1.1:
First start OO, and set auto-save delay to 1 minute (only once) in
Options->OpenOffice->Load/save

- Open file lastSavedOnMac2336.odt, which was last saved on Mac, using OO
v4.1.1.
- click in line "c) Soit (...)" of question 1 and add a space anywhere.
- do not use OpenOffice for 1 minute, in order for the autosave to run.
- The figures are lost: scroll down to make the first figure disappear and then
scroll up again: it's gone and displays the "link broken" symbol with the
"reading error" message. ("Erreur de lecture" in French). This works both with
the scrollbar or the mouse wheel. Saving the document after the autosave
occured, saves a document in which the figure(s) are missing.

It might be relevant to note that we use hidden characters in our documents and
that they are being displayed on screen (tools->options->writer->"aide au
formattage" (don't know the English translation for this one)->Display hidden
characters is on, and non-printable caracters are being displayed (ctrl-F10).

****To reproduce the bug on MacBook Air, Processor Interl 1.8G, OS X 10.7.4.
with OO 4.1.1

First start OO, and set auto-save delay to 1 minute (only once) in
Options->OpenOffice->Load/save

- Open file LastSavedOnWindows2319.odt, which was last saved on Windows 8,
using OO 4.1.1
- Proceed exactly as described above.

*** Please note that the bug cannot be reproduced opening file
LastSavedOnWindows on a mac with OO v4.0.1 so we suspect this is a regression
caused by the processing of bugs 125289-125290.

Thanks to Mr Baudhuin for the instructions that allow to reproduce the issue.
We have similar problems for months but could not reproduce it easily until
now.
With the given instructions and the document lastSavedOnMac2336.odt, I could
reproduce the issue on windows XP and OO 4.4.1
