[jira] [Created] (GROOVY-7988) Annotations on Closure/Lambda methods

Jerry Maine created GROOVY-7988:
-----------------------------------

             Summary: Annotations on Closure/Lambda methods
                 Key: GROOVY-7988
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GROOVY-7988
             Project: Groovy
          Issue Type: Improvement
    Affects Versions: 2.4.7
         Environment: All
            Reporter: Jerry Maine

It would be nice to have annotations placed on closures/lambdas. One use case is that it would allow the programmer to just make the closure/lambda statically compiled and not the rest of the parent method. It could also be useful for other AST transformations also.

Here is an example syntax that may work:
{code}
Comparator<Integer> c = {
	Integer a, Integer b @CompileStatic->
}
{code}
