[jira] Created: (XERCESJ-1098) Error message is generated when running Xalan only with JDK1.4.2 and using an EXSLT FUNC
Error message is generated when running Xalan only with JDK1.4.2 and using an EXSLT FUNC
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: XERCESJ-1098
URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESJ-1098
Project: Xerces2-J
Type: Bug
Versions: 2.6.0, 2.6.1, 2.6.2, 2.7.0, 2.7.1
Environment: Microsoft XP Professional
Reporter: Don Leckie
I've tested this with several versions of Xalan. My XSLT transform works in JDK 1.3.1_03 but not in JDK1.4.2_07. My XSLT transform has an EXSLT functional call that causes the following message:
"The first argument to the non-static Java function 'trim' is not a valid object reference."
I don't know if this is happening during static analysis or runtime.
I'm filing a bug here because I'm assuming that EXSLT FUNC is implemented within Xalan.
